I did second little night trip to Sorsasalo, where I was staying the first time in April. I like this place especially, since it has the best sleeping shelter near Kuopio, beautiful view and it’s not too far away. The plan was to take some star photography, but the clouds were blocking the view. So, I ended up lying in my sleeping bag without being able to catch any sleep. I watched Dexter from Netflix, since I hadn’t brought any book with me. Even though the stars never really appered, I noticed that the moon coming out through the clouds and it was casting a beautiful moon river over the lake Kallavesi. I ended up taking some long exposure photos in the moonlight and got the song that I’m playing with my saxophone stuck in my head:
“Moon river, wider than a mile
I’m crossing you in style some day
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you’re going, I’m going your way”
Kävin tekemässä toisen kerran pienen yöretken Sorsasaloon, jossa kävin viimeeksi huhtikuussa. Pidän paikasta, koska siellä on mielestäni Kuopion lähialueen paras yösuoja, kaunis näköala ja matka ei ole pitkä. Olin ajatellut kuvata yöllä tähtiä, mutta pilvet kieppuivat kiusallisesti tiellä. Niinpä loikoilin makuupussissani saamatta unta ja katsoin Netflixistä Dexteriä, kun ei tullut kirjaakaan mukaan. Vaikka tähdet eivät näyttäytyneetkään, huomasin kuun pilkistelevän välillä pilvien raosta luoden kauniin kuunsillan Kallaveden ylle. Päädyin ottamaan muutamia pitkän valotusajan kuvia kuunvalossa ja päähäni tarttui saksofoni-harjoitusbiisini:
